Congress Prioritize The Victims of Hurricane Helene & Milton - Stop Sending Money To Ukraine
The United States should stop sending aid to foreign countries for their wars. Congress should prioritize America and the needs of its people. Right now, hundreds of thousands of Americans need urgent aid following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Congress, the answer to whether we should send more money to Ukraine is simple: NO! We, the people, demand that no more aid be sent to Ukraine and that our taxpayer dollars be used to serve the interests of the United States.
Back in April, Speaker Johnson announced that the House would consider Ukraine aid after the Easter recess. Now, once again, there are discussions about increasing aid ahead of winter. This time, a $375 million arms package is being considered, which includes an unspecified number of AGM-154 glide munitions for Ukraine's F-16s.
Last year, Congress tried to pass a $105 billion aid package for Israel and Ukraine. In addition to military assistance, it included $125 million in security aid from the Department of Defense inventories to meet Ukraine’s immediate battlefield needs, along with $300 million in Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) funds to strengthen Ukraine’s air defenses. During this time, the Department of Defense also announced an additional $100 million in security assistance to Ukraine. The package for Israel and Ukraine was separate, yet still totaled $106 million, with $14 million for Israel and Palestine, $60 million for Ukraine, and $32 million for other Indo-Pacific allies.
