Yesterday, a jury ruled that Donald Trump was guilty of all 34 counts in his “hush-money trial.” It is clear that this trial was not just a witch-hunt but also a form of election interference that blatantly violated Donald Trump’s civil rights in order to charge him with a victimless made-up crime. Such a huge injustice and civil rights violation warrants an investigation from Congress, they must ACT now!

Donald Trump has been denied his constitutional rights, and this is an outright violation of due process. What we are witnessing is not justice; it is political persecution. The trial can only be described as a kangaroo court, an abomination, and a communist show trial. Shockingly, even repressive regimes like North Korea and the former Soviet Union made more effort to appear fair. Congress MUST investigate Judge Merchan, his jury instructions, and the Manhattan D.A. Office. Injustice for one is injustice for all.

In this travesty of justice, Trump was not informed of the charges against him until the defense had to rest. This is unprecedented and raises serious questions about the legal foundation of the case. In fact, the case lacks any solid legal basis. The Federal Election Commission, the Department of Justice under Joe Biden, and Bragg’s predecessor all passed on prosecuting this case. Why, then, is the Manhattan D.A. pursuing it?

This case exemplifies the dangers of perverting the justice system and the corruption and subversion of our institutions by the left. It is a deliberate strategy by the Democrats to confine Donald Trump to a courtroom and keep him off the campaign trail, where he can deliver his winning message to voters across the country.

The jurors in this case did not have access to Judge Merchan's 50+ pages of jury instructions. Jurors had to rely solely on 90 minutes of oral instructions, which is unreasonable and absurd. They had to request these lengthy instructions to be reread to them over 30 times during deliberation, and they lacked access to witness testimony transcripts during deliberation, further hindering their ability to make informed decisions.

Written instructions for jurors are a common practice to ensure clarity and consistency. To rely only on oral instructions, especially when they take "at least an hour" to review, is ridiculous. Judge Merchan deliberately overwhelmed the jury and hindered their ability to accurately follow and apply the law by denying them copies.

President Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland, Jack Smith, Jay Bratt, Alvin Bragg, Matthew Colangelo, Tish James, Fani Willis, Nathan Wade, Judge Juan Merchan, and his daughter, Loren Merchan, are clearly running a criminal conspiracy to violate the civil rights of President Trump. Congress needs to act! Instead of releasing statements about how this ruling was a travesty of justice, Congress should rectify this injustice and investigate these crooks.
