We are a year into the Trump Presidency and despite all of the Congressional and Deep State obstruction, President Trump is making major progress on fulfilling his campaign promises. At the top of that list is Trump's promise to put America First and start rolling back all of the promises that Obama made to the United Nations.
It isn't just the three billion that Obama promised the UN, either. The previous administration took serious steps to surrender American sovereignty to the United Nations.
Just look at the issue of immigration. Obama had surrendered American sovereignty and allowed the UN to decide who gets to come to America. He also promised to resettle the UN's refugees and immigrants, and even give them jobs. A little over a week and a half ago, President Trump shut that down and removed the US from the UN's Declaration for Refugees and Migrants.
Trump has pulled out of the UN's radical climate treaty, pulled funding from the corrupt UNESCO, and dramatically slashed the UN's budget.
Now, the United Nations is fighting back and threatening Trump to back down on his "America First" agenda. The UN's own Secretary General just warned that if Trump continues down this path, it would be "detrimental to US interests."
There is a battle taking place right now in Congress over the future of America's involvement in the United Nations. By involvement, I mean how much the US is going to pay.
Democrats and a handful of RINOs are secretly trying to defy President Trump and slip language into the next spending bill to reverse Trump's declaration and re-fund the UN Climate Treaty. RINO Senators Lindsey Graham, Lamar Alexander, and Susan Collins joined Democrats in the Senate Appropriations Committee a few weeks back to re-commit the United States to the UN's Climate agenda. Next Friday is the new deadline to pass the government's spending bill and you can be sure that these cowards will try to keep this surrender amendment in the final legislation.
Luckily, there are still strong Conservatives who are leading the charge to pull the plug on the United Nations. Senator Ted Cruz's amendment, for example, would defund the United Nations until the organization's anti-Israel policies are ended. Considering that the UN is trying to punish Israel for having its capital in Jerusalem, it doesn't look like they'll abandon their anti-semitism any time soon.
Frankly, it doesn't matter whether you are particularly interested in Israel. This is the legislative vehicle to pull the UN's funding entirely. When Ted Cruz and Louie Gohmert originally introduced their amendment, they received support from none other than Chuck Schumer, the top Democrat in the Senate. In fact, while the entire liberal establishment criticized Trump last week for recognizing Israel's capital, Schumer secretly called the President and urged him to do it.
The reason I'm mentioning this is because this is a bipartisan issue. If it was put to a vote, it would pass.
President Trump has done pretty much all he can do within his power but he is still coming up against Liberal Democrats and Republicans who want to drag us back into the Obama years.
That is the fight. Will you allow these spineless career politicians to drag us backwards or will you fight to pull the plug on the United Nations for good?
Thanks to the continuing resolution that Congress just passed, the budget deadline was moved to next week. That means we still have time to force this amendment into the final bill.
The establishment is working around the clock to undo President Trump's progress. They want to recommit the United States to all of the unconstitutional treaties and agreements that Obama and previous Presidents signed.
The amendment to re-fund the UN Climate Program is already in the State Department's spending bill. If we do nothing, the United Nations gets its Obama money back.
We are launching a full campaign to force Congress to do two things:
1) Pull the plug on the Democrat/RINO plot to undermine Trump by recommitting to the United Nations;
2) Pass the Cruz amendment and pull the UN's funding once and for all.
This is the first chance in American history that we have had a real opportunity to pull the plug on the United Nations. Years from now, your descendants will ask what you did to restore American sovereignty and kill off these globalist institutions.
When my great-grandchildren ask, I want the answer to be "everything I possibly could."
We don't have time to wait on this. If we're going to strike, it has to be now!
