Breaking: Democrats and GOP traitors are discussing a new gun control package in response to yesterday's mass shooting.
Yesterday, an anti-semite walked into a Pittsburgh synagogue and started shooting congregants. Eleven innocent people were killed. He was apparently armed with an AR-15 and a pistol.
The media immediately tried to pin this on Trump and blame the President for "inspiring" the shooting. But it actually turns out that the shooter hated Donald Trump. He despised the President.
All of a sudden, Democrats and establishment Republicans had to find someone else to blame. Instead of blaming the President for this act of violence, they are now blaming... you.
They are saying that it was your 2nd Amendment rights that did this; your refusal to bow down and accept Leftist gun control initiatives that allowed this to happen. If only you had given up your rights months ago, maybe this tragedy would have been avoided... It's shameful the Left would stoop that low.
But already, the GOP is starting to cave. Moderate Republicans have been begging the leadership for a chance to vote on a gun control package. Now, they're joining the Left to demand it!
Moderate Republicans are lining up to push their own gun control legislation. None of this would have stopped the shooting, but they never let a tragedy go to waste.
Everyone's least favorite Republican Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) co-authored a major gun confiscation bill with Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) that would make 21 the age cut-off for owning a gun. Millions of American adults would be instantly disarmed for absolutely no reason.
Congressman Brian Mast (R-FL) is locked into a tight re-election campaign. For months, he has been calling on Congress to pass a massive semi-automatic gun ban, potentially turning millions of Americans into criminals in the process.
But the worst gun bill that is making the most progress inside of the GOP is their 'red flag' proposal. Sponsored by Reps. Ryan Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and John Katko (R-NY), their plan would allow friends, family, or even complete strangers to turn a gun owner into police for disarmament. It doesn't matter if the gun owner hasn't committed a crime or is perfectly sane. This bill would allow police and judges to rule on disarmament motions based on nothing but hearsay.
The 2nd Amendment is clear. Because an armed populace is necessary to help preserve the Republic, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The government can't just take away your rights for no reason.
Currently, there are only a handful of reasons the government can use to justify disarmament. They can (1) charge or convict someone with a crime or (2) have them adjudicated mentally defective (either through involuntary admission to a mental hospital or a court hearing). Someone can lose their right to bear arms if they are (3) dishonorably discharged from the military, (4) become a fugitive from justice, (5) renounce their citizenship, or (6) suddenly lose their immigration status and become an illegal alien. Gun grabbers want to add 'hearsay' to the list.
Say that you get in a heated argument with a neighbor. This new 'red flag' proposal would allow your angry neighbor to tell police officers that you're dangerous, even if you're not. The police would then have the power to temporarily confiscate your guns and drag you in front of a judge to prove why you deserve to have your guns back.
Our entire justice system is built on the premise of innocent until proven guilty. If the government wants to take away your rights, it must prove disarmament is necessary and warranted. But under this plan, the burden would be shifted onto gun owners to prove they're not dangerous. Every American gun owner would automatically be presumed guilty until proven innocent... If the judge doesn't believe them, he or she would have the power to extend the disarmament order for 6-to-12 months. All without the gun owner even being accused of breaking the law...
If this bill passes, it will be abused. Vengeful ex-wives will use it to target their ex-husbands, angry children will turn in their parents, and neighborhood disputes will escalate to full-blown constitutional crises. This is also not to mention how this will be used politically to target Conservatives...
The GOP has been saying this was coming for months. "Some freedoms are going to have to be given up," warned Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL).
Now, they're preparing to make their move.

The Democrats tried to pin yesterday's shooting on President Trump. Even though Trump's own daughter, Ivanka, is Jewish, the media wanted to spin this as a Trump-inspired hate crime.
They couldn't. The deranged shooter -- who we will not name because he deserves zero notoriety -- made dozens of social media postings about how he hated Trump.
So, the Left decided to place the blame on you. They are blaming you for fighting their gun control proposals. They are blaming you for refusing to let them chip away at the 2nd Amendment.
The Left claims that they already have the votes in both the House and the Senate to push this bill through. Republicans are lining up to support gun control in order to save their careers, and they're willing to sacrifice your rights to do it!
The fact that we are even having this discussion is absolutely shameful and shows just how weak the GOP has become. But we have always known that the Republican establishment will do practically anything to hold onto power. Your rights come secondary to their careers.
This is coming down the pike right now. Rise up and stop it before it's too late!
