President Trump ran on a campaign to drain the swamp and put America first. One of the ways he is accomplishing both is by cutting off funding that Obama promised to the United Nations and other hostile countries.
Late last month, the Trump administration announced they were cutting a quarter billion from the UN's budget. On top of that, refugee admissions were down 70% in 2017. Since Obama put the United Nations in charge of processing these refugees, that cutback meant a lot less funding for the UN's refugee agency. The President also withdrew from UNESCO last year and is now threatening to cut off all funding to the UN's Palestinian refugee program. And his withdrawal from the UN's radical climate change treaty kept two billion from being funneled into the United Nation's accounts. The list literally goes on and on...
This comes on top of threats to cut of international aid to supposed allies like Egypt and Pakistan, who only seem to turn against the U.S. when it suits them.
It's not making waves, but Donald Trump is quietly dismantling the globalist agenda set forth by Barack Obama.
So, why are Republicans trying to stop him!?
The deadline for Congress to pass next year's spending bills hits in a week and a half. Deep within those spending bills are requirements that Trump continue making many of these UN and international aid payments.
Take the UN climate treaty. Trump withdrew and told the United Nations that they'll need to find another country to fund their redistribution scheme. Yet, there is a provision within the State Department's appropriations bill that requires Trump to continue making these contributions to the UN's climate agency.
Three Republicans -- Susan Collins, Lamar Alexander, and Lindsey Graham -- helped Senate Democrats push this amendment into the final bill.
I'll say it again: why are Congressional Republicans sabotaging President Trump's attempts to put America first?
But more importantly: why are you letting them?
We have a once in a lifetime opportunity to roll back decades of policies that have put America last.
We have a chance right now to pull the plug on billions in UN and international funding that have propped up international agencies and countries that have tried to violate our sovereignty.
Future generations are relying on us to take action right now! We cannot let them down.
For eight years, the Obama administration raided the Treasury to prop up these UN agencies and countries. Obama teamed up with them to bypass Congress and force his agenda onto the American people.
Trump shut these down, but Congress is now trying to start them back up again.
The United Nations just voted to condemn the United States for standing with Israel. The countries that joined that vote receive billions in US aid every year.
Why are we letting this happen? Why are we letting these GOP cowards save these Obama programs?
This is treachery and must be stopped!
