Dear Concerned Conservative,
Oh, how Obama loves a good crisis. In his GREAT BIG climate change speech at Georgetown, this week he said, "We don't have time for a meeting of the flat-Earth society. Sticking your head in the sand might make you feel safer, but it's not going to protect you from the coming storm." A storm which is only caused by AMERICAN energy, apparently. He has pledged $7 billion to Africa in order to electrify their wilderness, but he’s ready to ration our energy and put the coal industry (our least expensive power) out of business.
Obama told us outright in his last State of the Union address that in order to push through his climate change agenda, he will gladly bypass Congress and just work through Executive Order and the EPA to get things done. It’s all in the name of science, he claims, but never mind that the Economist pointed out that, “the public has been systematically deceived for years…and the supposed urgent need for drastic, costly, painful public policies to address the “crisis.”
Obama’s war on coal is just the beginning: It's not just about coal regulations! Barack Obama and Harry Reid have been very clear that coal is first, oil is next. They want to empower the EPA to take an even MORE aggressive role than it has today.
That means more red tape regulation, more government headaches, more fees, more taxes, and more costs that would cripple entire industries and destroy jobs. A War on Coal is only the first phase of the radical left's plan. ... Americans are beginning to realize that the Democrats' 'War on Coal' and 'War on Oil' is really a 'War on our poor and our way of life.’”
Look closely, because this is where the United Nations comes in: The U.N. is pushing Agenda 21, which rest assured, we will continue to cover. After years of meetings trying to get their climate change agenda to take root through political means, they have decided to UP the threat level.
Follow the money! Rachel Kyte, the World Bank's vice-president for sustainable development, told the AP in February that there is a “sense of immediacy and urgency” around climate change legislation. "What the Security Council has to do is understand that everything has to be seen through this lens. Climate change is changing the future scenarios for every country," Kyte said. "It's framing decisions on security, economic security, food security."
Now, the U.N. Security Council is calling climate change a SECURITY THREAT, which will allow them to combat this terrible scourge on humanity (according to them, is due to humanity). Coming soon to your town: green-helmeted, climate peacekeepers?!
Only YOU can STOP THIS - Fax Congress Now!
The thinking is, Americans have too much, and we should be ashamed of it. We are too prosperous, we live too extravagantly, and our egos—and incomes—must be taken down a notch. Their real intention has much more to do with wealth redistribution (from us, to them) than conservation.
It’s been this way for years, and that is a great deal of the reason why Congressional approval ratings are in the tank. People are angry, and rightfully so. The same thinking that brought us low flush toilets and water flow restrictors could very well engineer thermostats to set only so high or so low. Imagine the possibilities. There is no telling how many individual rights and choices we will lose to those who are hell-bent on implementing a global society of “sustainability” based on FALSE science and BIG dollars).
Obama, the EPA, and climate change promoters are going change our way of life, regulation by regulation, unless we stop them. That is why we need your voices, so we become so loud they have no choice but to hear us.
