Allow me to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving.

Today is a day to give thanks for everything we have been given.

I am thankful for the Founding Fathers who set us down the path towards representative government.

I am thankful for all of the military men and women throughout the years who have sacrificed life, limb, and blood to preserve our great Republic.

And last but not least, I am thankful for anyone who is called to government service.

Yes, there are some bad eggs in government. A lot of them, actually… At times, the amount of corruption and criminality appears overwhelming. But it is not beyond saving.

So fill up on the turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. Kick back and watch one of the three football games today. All the while, giving thanks for everything that made today possible.

But tomorrow, we go back to fighting. Tomorrow, we go back to taking this country back.
