I wanted to talk a little bit about what we do and why we continue to fight. Since 2012, Conservative Daily has existed for one purpose: to amplify conservative voices to the point that Congress can't ignore them.
That is what our FaxBlasts do. We bombard Congress with so many messages at the same time that they cannot ignore them.
For two years, we have been pushing Congress to pass Concealed Carry Reciprocity. This is the idea that if you are allowed to carry a concealed weapon in one state, you would be allowed to do so in all 50 states. If Congress passes the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, it would immediately overrule the country's most radical state gun control laws.
For example, Texans would be allowed to carry in California and Pennsylvanians would be allowed to carry in New Jersey. If you live in one of the anti-gun states, take Maryland for example, you would be allowed to get a Utah non-resident permit and use it to concealed carry in Maryland.
This would roll back a century of anti-gun laws in the most rabidly anti-gun states and the more we push for this, the closer it comes to becoming reality!
Here is an example. This month, the DC Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Washington DC's concealed carry ban is unconstitutional. Liberals then vowed to take their case all the way to the Supreme Court. If they can get the case to the Highest Court before Anthony Kennedy retires, they can get concealed carry 'banned' nationwide.
On July 26, we launched a massive campaign and delivered 102,000 FaxBlasts to Congress on behalf of readers just like you. We buried Congress with demands to pass the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.
That same day, Congressman Darrell Issa signed on as a Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act co-sponsor. Issa is a well-respected Congressman who sits on the all-important Judiciary Committee. The House Judiciary Committee will be the one that decides whether to push the bill onto a full floor vote.
On July 22, we blasted Congress with 61,000 FaxBlasts. A day later, Rep. Daniel Webster signed on. He is the man who has challenged Paul Ryan's speakership, demanding that Congress pass a Conservative agenda.
This is why we continue to fight. Piece by piece, we have pressured 208 Congressmen (including 3 Democrats) into backing this legislation. We are now just ten away from it passing. Every week, our FaxBlasts force new Congressmen and Senators to support the measure.
That is why we keep fighting!
With the DC Circuit's Ruling, we really do need to strike now. If the case reaches the Supreme Court before President Trump is able to add another Justice to the bench, the Second Amendment will be 'reinterpreted' to exclude the right to carry.
Congress, however, can intervene. If Congress passes the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, they would overrule the liberal courts and make concealed carry legal and accessible nationwide. This bill restores the 2nd Amendment to the quarter of all Americans who live behind the liberal gun control Iron Curtain.
But the only way that happens is if you rise up and DEMAND it!
