Yesterday, the Trump administration was forced to shut down all northbound traffic at the San Ysidro border crossing in California. US Customs and Border Patrol received word that the caravan was preparing to rush the border to try to overwhelm agents and break into the US illegally. So, they closed down all vehicle and pedestrian lanes for 3 hours.
The caravan was doing this to test whether CBP could respond fast enough. They are testing our defenses. Luckily, the troops that Pres. Trump re-routed to California were on hand to help Border Patrol harden the checkpoint.

Why are these caravan criminals trying to rush a fortified border crossing? Well, just take one look at the picture above. That is what the border fence in California looks like now. This is Trump's doing. These fences are 21-feet tall. They are now covered in barbed wire from the ground to the top... and this goes on for twelve miles. Border Patrol is also covering the fences around checkpoints with the same kind of barbed wire.
There are now more than 12,000 caravan migrants gathered in cities and towns along the US-Mexico border. They know that the only chance they have is to rush the border all at once, just like they did when they crossed into both Guatemala and Mexico a few weeks ago.
Trump is hardening the border and writing new regulations to stop illegal aliens from using the asylum laws to game the system.
But just this morning, an Obama-appointed Judge issued a ruling ordering the Trump administration to stand down and accept asylum applications from any migrant who steps foot onto American soil... even if they cross illegally!
This is why the caravan was going to try to cross at the San Ysidro port of entry. That was the only place where they would be able to apply for asylum under Trump's order.
But thanks to Obama Judge John Tigar, the migrants don't have to worry about the military or barbed wire anymore. Judge Tigar's ruling demands that the Trump administration accept asylum applications anywhere in the United States, regardless of whether the migrant entered the US legally or illegally.
So, remember how I told you that Trump's barbed wire fence stretches for 12 miles? All the caravan now needs to do is walk 12 miles to where the barbed wire ends, climb over the fence the same way they did last week, and say the word "asylum" to the first Border Patrol agent they see.
The President has the authority to bar any class of aliens from entry into the United States. This is the same legal authority Trump used to implement his travel ban last year, and the Supreme Court ruled that Trump was within his rights to do it. Now, the President is trying to use the same power to stop another class of aliens -- illegal aliens -- from entering the US. Like clockwork, another Obama judge in the 9th Circuit is trying to undo Pres. Trump's order.
The judge's order expires on December 19. Unless the Supreme Court intervenes, the entire caravan is getting into the United States. Once they're in, they will be given a court date and released into our society, never to be seen again.
You can stop this. You can FORCE Congress to take action, but it has to be now!
Congress has to pass a new spending package before December 7th, which is almost two weeks before the Obama judge's order expires. That spending package must include next year's funding for the Department of Homeland Security, which includes both Border Patrol and ICE.
Congress can put an end to this radical Obama judge's order right now. They can give President Trump the power to block the caravan from entering and give Border Patrol all of the funding it needs -- including border wall construction -- to carry the order out.
But the GOP refuses to do it. They want to let the caravan in. Their corporate donors are demanding it.
We are 17 days away from the spending bill deadline and 44 days away from Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats taking over half of Congress. Republicans should be scrambling to get this done now, but instead, Paul Ryan wants to punt and give Pelosi control over our immigration policy.
Obama's nominees in the Judiciary are blocking Trump... Congress is refusing to increase border funding to stop this invasion... Even officials at the Pentagon are defying the President and beginning to withdraw troops from the border weeks early.
Pres. Trump thinks he's all alone.
But he isn't alone. President Trump has you!
