James Comey was adamant that the actions he took against President Trump - namely, to leak memos detailing their one-on-one meetings - were completely legal. He swore under oath that the memos he deliberately leaked to the New York Times did not contain classified information and were his own personal documents.
We just learned that he lied under oath.
A new report released yesterday shows that not only were the memos considered government documents that Comey had no right to remove from FBI headquarters, but four of the seven memos actually contained classified information.
Here's the fact: James Comey broke the very law that he absolved Hillary Clinton of.
He knowingly created classified government documents and then leaked them to the press in order to achieve a political goal. He violated the Espionage Act and lied to Congress about it under oath.
President Trump announced this morning that what Comey did was flat-out illegal. But because of the Special Counsel, Trump can't take action. He can't go after Comey.
Only Congress can put him away and only YOU can demand it!
It's really simple. James Comey told Congress, under oath, that the memos he created were his own papers and did not contain classified information. The FBI determined that both of those were false statements. They were, in fact, government documents and four-of-seven memos contained Classified information.
Comey delievered false statements to Congress under oath. He lied.
Special Counsel Mueller isn't going to go after James Comey. They are close friends. Mueller is more interested in hiring Hillary Clinton's former lawyers to go after Trump. And because of the Special Counsel, the Trump administration can't touch Comey. They aren't allowed to prosecute him.
That leaves only Congress. Because James Comey lied to them about this under oath, Congress can charge Comey with Contempt and refer the case directly to a Grand Jury, bypassing the Special Counsel entirely.
The fact that James Comey leaked classified information to damage the President is a serious development. The irony is that he committed the very crime that he absolved Hillary of last year. Comey testified under oath that he deliberately leaked these classified documents in order to damage the President. He openly admitted to his "intent."
Congress can throw him behind bars and ensure he is prosecuted. But they will only act if YOU demand it!
