The FBI has delivered its supplemental background check report to the Senate on the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh. There is nothing in the report that we didn't already know. The FBI found that no witnesses corroborate the allegations made against Kavanaugh.
What we've seen in Congress, however, is shameful. Republicans have used the confirmation circus as cover to pass incredibly unpopular pieces of legislation. When Brett Kavanaugh was testifying before the committee, the House of Representatives passed a budget that restored funding to the United Nations and anti-American international organizations.
Now, we are seeing the same obfuscation once again.
Jeff Flake is no conservative. He has never found a liberal cause that he didn't like. He was forced to resign this past year when early polls showed him losing his Arizona primary by double digits. He is the Senator who forced Congress to delay its Kavanaugh confirmation vote and now, he has a new "compromise plan."
Flake just joined up with Dianne Feinstein to push a gun control bill to disarm tens of millions of Americans!
The midterm elections are less than 5 weeks away. You can tell a lot about Congress based on what they prioritize leading up to an election.
On the one year anniversary of the Las Vegas mass shooting, Dianne Feinstein praised Jeff Flake for co-sponsoring her plan to disarm tens of millions of American adults between the ages of 18 and 21.
Federal law already requires that someone be 21 in order to purchase a handgun. This age minimum was passed decades ago when a majority of liberals wanted handguns to be banned entirely. The age minimum was challenged, but Federal courts ruled that since an 18-year-old could still own shotguns or rifles, their rights weren't being violated.
Feinstein's bill -- the Age 21 Act -- would raise the minimum age to purchase a shotgun or rifle as well. Instantly, tens of millions of Americans would lose their right to self-defense.
The shooter in the Las Vegas tragedy was 64-years-old. After a year of investigating, the FBI still hasn't released why the shooter went on this rampage. But that has never stopped Democrats from proposing new gun control. In true Leftist fashion, they believe this mass shooting anniversary is the time to disarm young Americans.
This is all about testing what Americans can stomach. In the final days of the Obama Presidency, the Social Security Administration approved a regulation to disarm millions of social security beneficiaries. They hoped that the American people wouldn't care about the administration's plan to disarm and confiscate firearms from retirees.
They were wrong. We led the charge against this regulations and I am proud to say that we -- you and I -- pressured Congress into taking action. One of the first bills signed into law after Trump's inauguration was to overturn this confiscation plan.
Now, we are seeing the Left test the waters once again, probing whether the American people will let them get away with disarming young adults...
They know that they'll never be able to quietly disarm all of us. So, they're trying to sneak it through piece by piece.
Jeff Flake is onboard because he wants to see Congress start "compromising" again. Flake wants his final act of Congress to be a "compromise" gun control plan with the Democrats.
But this isn't a "compromise." Compromises require a give and take. Both sides are supposed to give up ground in order to get some of what they want. But on gun control, the Left is never willing to give gun owners anything.
The "compromise" is that this time they're only going to come for some of the guns or disarm some Americans. The only thing they're willing to give you is the peace of mind knowing that they won't confiscate or disarm everyone... yet.
Jeff Flake is so warped that he actually thinks this is what the country needs. And he is not alone...

After the Florida shooting, Rep. Francis Rooney (R-FL) came forward and declared that "some [2nd Amendment] freedoms are going to have to be given up."
You see, Rooney is up for re-election in a tough district. He knows that he needs to cave on gun control if he wants any chance of winning. So, he is throwing tens of millions of Americans under the bus so he can hold onto political power.
An 18 year old can vote, get married, join the military, and serve as a police officer. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of these young Americans have already started families. To tell a 20-year-old mother or father that they no longer have a right to defend their children and their family is atrocious. But that is exactly what the GOP is gearing up to do...
Vulnerable Republicans are demanding a vote on some type of gun control so they can appease liberal voters in their districts. Retiring GOPers like Flake want a gun control vote because they don't have to answer to their constituents any more. Democrats are licking their lips at a chance to cancel tens of millions of Americans' 2nd Amendment rights.
And the GOP leadership is agreeing to give them the vote!
This is the test to see how much the GOP will surrender. The fact that we are even having this discussion is absolutely shameful.
But we have always known that the Republican establishment will do practically anything to hold onto power. Your rights come secondary to their careers.
You CANNOT let this Flake-Feinstein confiscation and disarmament bill move forward!
