In January, 19-year old illegal alien Eswin Mejia decided to get behind the wheel and street race after drinking heavily all night. He ended up crashing into another car and killing an American named Sarah Root.
Omaha police arrested this scumbag at the scene. His blood alcohol level was .241 – three times the legal limit. Not to mention that he was an illegal alien and should not have been driving, let alone in this country.
Even though this illegal alien killed a young girl and racked up potentially 20 years in prison, the judge let him out after posting just $5,000 of his bail.
The police did everything in their power to keep this killer behind bars. They begged with the judge to increase his bail and they begged the feds to intervene and place an immigration hold on Mejia… They were ignored.
Eswin Mejia paid 10% of his bail ($5,000) and was released. And what a surprise, he never showed up to his court hearing. Law enforcement has absolutely no idea where he is. The bail he posted was less than the cost of Sarah Root’s funeral. Despicable.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Sarah Saldana was absolutely grilled on Tuesday during a Senate hearing. Senators on both sides of the aisle asked her why the Obama administration would possibly let this violent illegal alien go.
Her response was chilling: “prosecutorial discretion.”
Obama’s entire amnesty plan hinges on the fact that his administration will prioritize deporting violent criminals first. As we see with Eswin Mejia, Obama won’t even deport the criminals. He won’t even deport the killers.
Saldana said that illegal aliens are only deported if they “present a public safety threat.”
Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse (R) was livid. “In this case Sarah Root is dead,” Sasse pointed out, “what if someone kills a U.S. citizen? That doesn’t meet the threshold?”
I hope you’re sitting down because the administration’s response to this question will blow your mind.
“That was after the fact, sir,” she said, “I understand that that person was injured and had not, when that four hour period of time, seriously injured, but had not passed away until later.”

Let that sink in. The Obama administration has said that the reason they let this illegal alien criminal go is because his victim had not yet passed away when they were called. 21-year old Sarah Root was in the hospital clinging to life and ICE’s position is that the illegal alien who put her there can go free as long as she isn’t dead yet.
This is what we’re dealing with. An illegal alien got behind the wheel with a BAC three times the legal limit, fatally injures an American, and the administration’s response is to let him go because the girl hadn’t died yet.
The Obama administration let this illegal alien killer go after declaring he wasn’t a threat to public safety. Americans are literally dying because Obama has prioritized protecting illegal aliens over American citizens.
Unacceptable isn’t a strong enough word. I was literally speechless when I watched this hearing. The utter heartlessness is remarkable. There’s an illegal alien killer out there and the administration’s best response is, ‘oh well…”
I don’t care if it will be difficult. This Obama administration official needs to be removed from office right now!
