In what Newsweek hailed as “The Second Coming,” Barack Hussein Obama was sworn in on Sunday, January 20th in his second term as President. While it was not a joyful day for conservatives, at least we have the comfort of knowing it cannot happen again. Or can it? New York Rep. Jose Serrano introduced H.J. Res 15, which would eliminate presidential term limits.
If it passes and Barack Obama wants to, he could seek a third term … or a fourth. He could remain president for life, as long as he has the financial muscle of someone like George Soros behind him and the thuggery of the New Black Panthers to make sure no one else’s vote counts.
This isn’t the first time Serrano has tried to wipe out term limits, and it doesn’t even matter if there is a Republican in office. Every year since 1997, he has tried to overturn the 22nd Amendment, which states, “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once.”
In addition to Rep. Serrano’s consistent attempts, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA), Rep. Howard Berman (D-CA) and Rep. Harry Reid (D-NV) have all introduced failed legislation seeking repeal—but none of their bills ever made it out of committee. It is now more imperative than ever that we make sure this one ends there, as well.

Doesn’t it seem like we are constantly fighting Democrats over our Constitution? But while we are used to fighting for our free speech rights, or our right to bear arms, it is unusual to be speaking seriously about allowing a sitting president to seek a third, fourth, fifth or even sixth term in office.
And you know if Obama had the opportunity to run again, he would.
Obama would have to campaign again, of course, but he is more comfortable at Hollywood fundraisers and behind the teleprompter at the rally du jour than he is in the Oval Office. Another campaign season of smiling, shaking hands would suit him fine while he allows corrupt organizations to dirty up the ballots and install him again to his throne.
Just because all the other attempts at ending term limits were failures does not mean this one will be. The Democrats have found their messiah in the socialist Obama. Finally, the mainstream media dropped all pre-tense and just admitted it! Many Democrats in Congress could take this legislation seriously and install Obama as our dictator-in-chief. They could also tinker with the language and allow Congress to grant a dispensation to a current or former president. We have seen how the seemingly ridiculous has crept into reality over the past four years.
H.J. Res 15 is something we should take seriously.
America cannot handle one day more of Barack Obama after his term ends in January 2017.
Abolishing presidential term limits is a spectacularly bad idea. It has only taken Barack Obama four years to start down the road of a dictatorship; he doesn’t need a third term to complete his mission. Additionally, government gridlock is preventing anything reasonable and effective from getting done. Installing a presidential “placeholder” in office with an unlimited supply of executive orders, who has nothing more pressing to do than to campaign for re-election, would be extremely detrimental to our country.
Make sure Congress knows the 22nd Amendment should stand as written—keep presidential term limits as they are.
