Fellow Conservative,

We have been pushing for this for months. With your help, we have bombarded Congress with close to a million faxes demanding that they stop illegal alien criminals from preying on innocent Americans.

Now, the time has come. There has never been more momentum behind this fight. Join us in making one final push to put a stop to sanctuary cities and imprison illegal alien criminals once and for all!

Tell Congress to defund sanctuary cities and pass Kate’s law immediately!

Our approach is two-fold.

First, Senator Tom Cotton has introduced legislation that would withhold federal grant money to any town or city that refuses to hand illegal aliens over to federal agents. The bill doesn’t currently have a name or number but you can read it by clicking above. As we have covered in depth, Kathryn Steinle, the woman murdered in San Francisco, would still be alive if local police obeyed ICE’s instructions.

The local sheriff had Francisco Sanchez – the illegal immigrant – in custody when immigration officials asked to take custody of him. Even though he had been convicted of seven felonies and deported from this country five times, local law enforcement chose to release him instead of handing him over to the feds. As you know, this man went on to murder this young woman in broad daylight.

Every year, cities like San Francisco receive millions of dollars in federal law enforcement grant money only to turn around and not enforce the law. Tom Cotton’s proposal is simple: if a city refuses to enforce immigration law, then they clearly don’t need more money for law enforcement.

You must strike while the iron is hot! Tell Congress to defund sanctuary cities and pass Kate’s Law to put a stop to this madness!

The second prong of our attack is what activists have begun calling Kate’s Law.

This legislation is also simple. If an illegal alien convicted criminal is deported and found to have re-entered the country anyway, they would receive a mandatory 5-year prison sentence. If they’re deported a second time and re-enter the US, they would receive a mandatory 10-year sentence. And if they are caught re-entering the United States a third time, the sentence bumps up to 20-years.

Enough with the BS. This isn’t an “act of love” like Jeb Bush claims. We have murderers, rapists, and other violent criminals in this country illegally. Heck, the Obama administration released more than 30,000 of these convicted felons from prison last year, many because of ‘good behavior.’

There is a reason that we force legal immigrants to jump through hoops to get a visa. We want to make sure that they aren’t criminals, terrorists, diseased, or anything else that would be detrimental to our society.

With illegal aliens, we aren’t given that luxury. With every illegal alien who crosses the border, we are rolling the dice on whether he or she is a violent criminal. Why is it that when someone wants to come here legally, we force them to prove they aren’t a criminal but when someone comes here illegally, without being vetted, the burden of proof shifts to us to prove they aren’t a criminal?

Kate’s Law is common sense. If an illegal alien is deported because they murdered an American – which happens dozens of times a year – why should cities like San Francisco be allowed to release them if they are apprehended after re-entering the country?

This is such common sense. Demand that Congress defund sanctuary cities and pass Kate’s Law immediately!

As I said, we have never had this much momentum. For the first time, Congress is actually poised to once and for all deal with the problem of illegal alien criminals living in our midst.

But it’s not going to be easy. The legislation faces an up-hill battle in both the House and Senate.

Every day that Congress waits is another innocent American victimized by an illegal alien who shouldn’t be in this country. Let’s break the chain and put a stop to this once and for all.

You must – and I mean must – raise your voice right now and demand that Congress pass these two common sense bills.

Sincerely,

Joe Otto
