The House voted on Monday to refer a motion to impeach Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the Homeland Security Committee, thereby stalling an effort by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) to oust the Biden administration official. Mayorkas was sworn in as DHS Secretary by Joseph Biden, and during his tenure, he has allowed over 8 million immigrants to enter our southern border. Mayorkas has failed to secure our border, resulting in a full-scale invasion of our nation. Congress needs to reconsider this motion and move to impeach him.

Greene filed the motion last Thursday, and yesterday, the House voted to refer the said motion by a 209-201 vote, with eight Republicans joining all Democrats in voting “yes.”

The eight Republicans who voted against allowing a motion to impeach the man playing a significant role in the crisis at our border and actively participating in Biden's open border policy are Reps. Patrick Mchenry (N.C.), Tom McClintock (Calif.), John Duarte (Calif.), Virginia Foxx (Va.), Darrell Issa (Calif.), Cliff Bentz (Ore.), Ken Buck (Colo.), and Mike Turner (Ohio).

Eight Republicans who voted against allowing for a motion to impeach the man who plays a massive role in the crisis at our border and is actively participating in and allowing Biden's open border policy. What a betrayal to the people of the United States, to the security of our nation, and the safety of our land.

As you know, the border crisis is an evolving issue. In September 2023 alone, at least 260,000 illegals crossed the border.

It has been reported that it's not just individuals from Mexico or South America coming in droves to our border; individuals from Africa and the Middle East are also taking advantage of our open border. Our porous border enables practically anyone to enter our country without proper documentation; ICE has admitted that they often lack the necessary documentation from immigrants, are unable to verify addresses, and cannot track individuals who have come through.

And who is allowing these things to happen? Individuals who work side by side with Joe Biden, people like Mayorkas, who fail to do their job and prioritize national security, such as securing our border. These individuals, Mayorkas in particular, are allowing for an invasion of our nation, turning a blind eye to the countless Americans who have been harmed in the process.

While this motion has been stalled, the American people encourage all our representatives to see to it that it is reintroduced and passed! We must ensure that individuals who fail to prioritize the citizens of the United States are removed from their positions!
