Does it feel like the economy is recovering at break neck speeds? Do you think the financial crisis is over in the United States? Do you feel like the unemployment rate has been drastically reduced? In all likelihood, you answered no to all these questions. At Conservative-Daily, we harbor the same apprehensions regarding the US economy. That’s why we were astonished to see the improved employment numbers released last week by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).
Before we get started, we would like to remind our readers that it is up to Congress to keep the White House honest. The Legislative branch’s constitutional responsibility, beyond passing legislation, is to keep the Executive branch accountable to its use of power. That is why they have been given the power to investigate the President and other members of the Administration and Federal government. If the President is using any Federal agency to lie to the American people in order to buttress his polling numbers, it is Congress’ responsibility to investigate and exact the proper punishment.
The BLS is a Federal agency that studies the economic and labor landscape in the United States. Monthly, this agency releases employment data regarding the number of jobs added to the job market and the current national unemployment rate.

Here’s the rub: the BLS is a Federal agency and reports directly to President Obama. He is the boss. He is also in an extremely tight Presidential election according to recent polls. One of the most important campaign issues is unemployment. Therefore, when a jobs report is released a month before the presidential election that shows nearly unprecedented employment growth in the United States absent other key economic factors, we are a bit skeptical. So we decided to dig deeper and the results were eye popping. They made us wonder if we are still living in a democracy; they will make you question the Obama Administration’s commitment to liberty and freedom.Last week, the BLS released a job report that showing that the unemployment rate in the United States dropped from 8.1% to 7.8%. However, the economy only added 114,000 new jobs. One article crunched the numbers and came to the conclusion that for the jobs report to be accurate, 873,000 new jobs would have needed to be created. So how do we explain the discrepancy? It cannot be explained. This is why many are wondering if the BLS was not ordered to cook the books for Obama’s reelection purposes.
The increase of employed individuals rose by 873,000 in September. It was the largest one-month increase in 29 years the most since the Reagan recovery. Conveniently, this improvement came just a month before the election! Don’t believe it. We need a Congressional investigation to prove that the numbers are accurate. It is time Congress holds President Obama accountable.
How does the BLS generate these employment numbers and how can there be a discrepancy? First, they calculate the number of jobs added to the workforce by surveying employers. They then calculate the unemployment rate by surveying households. So how can the jobless rate drop by nearly 900,000 while only 114,000 jobs were created?
Hidden in those numbers is a fact that the Obama Administration is desperately trying to hide: part time employment rose by 582,000 last month. Because they couldn’t find full time employment, hundreds of thousands of Americans were forced to take part time jobs to make ends meet. Yet President Obama is acting like the jobs report is a huge accomplishment.
The Obama Administration and BLS further skew the numbers by ignoring folks that are so frustrated by not being able to find work that they have stopped looking for a job. In fact, the labor force participation rate (percentage of adults in the labor force) has fallen to 63.5%, the lowest since 1981. Fewer people in the workforce equals better employment numbers; especially when you account for the fact that the unemployment rate does not take into account those thousands of people who simply gave up looking for new work.

Since Obama took office, the United States has lost roughly 1.1 million jobs. That is 1.1 million lives hurt by Obama’s socialist agenda and 1.1 million families struggling to put food on the table. Yet, the President thinks that the latest numbers are a success? Many analysts believe the real unemployment rate sits at about 11% if you take into account those people that want to work but have stopped looking.President Obama has been touting this new 7.8% unemployment rate on the campaign trail, acting like he fed the 5,000. But the truth of the matter is that the numbers were very likely manipulated. Does it seem a little fishy to you that a Federal agency run by Obama lackeys released the perfect jobs report at the perfect time? As Shakespeare once said “there is something rotten in the state of Denmark”.
In fact, Rush Limbaugh actually predicted this exact scenario! As unbelievable as it sounds, talk show radio host, Rush Limbaugh, predicted that President Obama would manipulate the job numbers from September to show improvement so that he might get a boost in the polls the last month of the campaign.
Both in December of 2011 and again in May of 2012 Rush Limbaugh predicted, on the air, that the Obama Administration would dummy up the jobs report to help his chances of reelection. Limbaugh is quoted as saying “If the labor force participation rate – in other words, if the same number of jobs were available to be had today as when Obama was inaugurated – the unemployment rate would be around 11 percent instead of 7.9…This is how you lower the percentage. You simply lower the number of people looking.”
Now that his prediction has come true, shouldn’t Congress investigate BLS and the Obama Administration for wrong doing in connection with any falsified information contained in the jobs report? Congress must take a fine tooth comb to the surveying process and make sure that it is not being manipulated by political concerns. Federal agencies do not exist as lie generators for the President; they exist to serve the people. If they are being misused, those responsible should be punished. Fax Congress today and demand a full investigation into the labor reporting fiasco!
