Dear Conservative,
The government is shut down. The disaster called Obamacare started. The debt ceiling fight is approaching quickly. The Middle East is as unstable as we’ve seen it in many, many years. Our spending is out of control and we don’t have enough taxpayers to cover those on food stamps, much less HEALTHCARE! Healthcare is 17% of our economy and this is a fundamental change in the best healthcare system in the world …
And, that is only a start of what might be the real war on America, the war from within, on our culture and very foundation of our country.
Liberals are calling Conservatives radicals, anarchists, kidnappers and even terrorists! The administration, the president and the media are all calling anyone who disagrees with Obama terrorists! With bombs strapped to our chests, much less!
People are becoming afraid of the Tea Party because the Tea Party is being demonized by means straight out of the book Obama’s mentor wrote – RULES FOR RADICALS!
Harry Reid basically said the absence of Obamacare would mean Anarchy!
We CAN stop this take-over of our way of life and our Constitutional freedoms but we have to stand together!
Will you stand with me when it gets really hard?
Because, my friends, it is about to get really hard and really ugly.
Obamacare DAY 1:
Healthy young taxpaying men will pay the very most in this scheme. Many states are already reporting massive increases in premiums.
What, many ask? That can’t be true because the president says that “the premiums are lower than expected”.
How can these two things be true?
Because the president isn’t telling us the truth.
He’s telling us the premiums are lower than they thought they would be -- but there are still massive increases in premiums!
Here is the truth on DAY 1 - Obamacare
Ohio is reporting a 41% increase in premiums
Wisconsin is reporting a 51% increase in premiums
Indiana is reporting a 72% increase in premiums
Personally, my insurance out of pocket costs have increased by 62%!
Wisconsin is also reporting:
40% of large employers report they are going to reduce hours below full time in reaction to the law.
And, 30% of small business report that they will drop insurance all together.
There are so many things wrong with Obamacare. It’s so hard to keep track – so let’s NOT!
Democratic leaders are demonizing anyone that disagrees with Obama. This administration continues government intimidation!
“This is not about me and it’s not about Republicans here in Congress. It’s about fairness for the American people,” Mr. Boehner said.
The latest Houses bill was not what we initially hoped for, I know. That is disappointing. But we can’t give up hope. We must keep up the fight.
We wanted to end the health law altogether. That didn’t get done, YET.
The Senate wouldn’t even compromise on the individual mandate for you and me!
Tell Congress this is about fairness for the American people. DELAY, REPEAL, REPLACE!
All reasonable bills from the House were defeated on party-line votes in the Senate, where Democrats have the upper hand in the parliamentary choreography.
“Just think about it. If we give an inch on the CR, they’re going to take a mile on the debt ceiling,” said Sen. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat. Negotiations are part of how we find middle ground – why wouldn’t the Senate even talk to the Republicans?
Most of us hard-working taxpayers who will be forced to buy insurance from the state-based exchanges will not get help from our employers.
Neither should members of Congress!
Help us keep up the pressure. TELL THEM TO STOP PLAYING POLITICS WITH OUR LIVES. If the American people do not get an exemption because the law didn’t include it – then no one gets exemptions, as the law was written.
Just wait till Congress has to live under THIS MESS THEY FORCED UPON US!!
Oh, Congress will love this part of the bill that they didn’t read and had to pass to see what it meant: The Marriage Penalty.
One very peculiar feature of the Senate-passed health care bill, it penalizes marriage!?
Under Obamacare, couples would face massive financial penalties if they marry or remain married. And, couples who co-habit without marriage are given highly preferential financial treatment.
“I DO” could become I OWE! It could cost couples over $10,000 if the Senate bill becomes law.
Why would the Liberals want to penalize marriage and stable families?
Yes, most people like us feel that marriage is a beneficial institution that society should encourage and strengthen. Not this administration. Not this president.
Why would the Senate healthcare bill take the opposite approach??
This penalty seems to cross all income levels. It overwhelmingly discriminates against married couples by taxing a husband and wife more than to a co-habiting couple with the same income.
If the bill is enacted, married couples across America will be taxed to provide discriminatory benefits to couples who cohabit, divorce, or never marry.
How does it tax married couples more?
The bill’s anti-marriage penalties occur during income counting and benefit structure rules. If a two-earner couple is married, the bill counts their income together; since the combined income will be higher, a married couple’s healthcare subsidies would be lower.
The bottom line is that under the bill, co-habiting couples would receive substantially higher healthcare subsidies over married couples - even if the total incomes of both couples are equal.
And, worse yet, it Pounds Low-Income Married Couples!
Low-income couples are susceptible to the bill’s aggressive wedding taxes. For example, a 60-year-old husband and wife, each with an income of $15,000, would pay over $4,000 per year if they remain married.
Why would the government offer an annual windfall of $4,212 if the couple divorces and then co-habits? They can have only one motive that I can see … it’s another Liberal way to take our culture down and NUDGE people to become more and more dependent upon government as THE INSTITUTION of the family!
Indefensible.
FAX CONGRESS TODAY!
How DARE Congress grant an exemption for them! How DARE the President tell us how great Obamacare is and then hand out waivers to unions and businesses, leaving the “little people” in the dust?!
INSIST Congress end their exemption. We can INSIST they block all exemptions, or at least—as the GOP is considering—give the hardworking American individual another year before we have to comply.
We must end the drastic taxes. We must continue to fight for repeal.
And, perhaps best of all, WE CAN KICK EVERYBODY OUT OF CONGRESS WHO REFUSED TO FIGHT AGAINST OBAMACARE.
Demand they eat the dog food they make us eat and pay for!
Just consider how far the Liberals will go to demonize those of us that love our Country the most. When a Louisiana Republican, Senator David Vitter, demanded a floor vote on his bill to end an exemption that members of Congress and their staffs; fuming Senate Democrats drafted legislation that dredges up a 2007 prostitution scandal involving Vitter.
This hostility is a perfect illustration how ferociously Capitol Hill elitists will fight for their privileges!! They don’t fight for you and your rights!
And consider that Congress will be the only participants in the new Obamacare exchanges to receive generous subsidies from their employer to pay for their health insurance!
Beltway Elite get whatever they want – one law for them and another for you and me!
In 1995 Congress passed a Congressional Accountability Act to fulfill a promise made the previous year in the Contract with America. For the first time, the Act applied to Congress the same civil-rights employment and labor laws that lawmakers had required everyday citizens to abide by.
“With some lapses, it’s worked well to defuse public outrage about “one law for thee, one law for me” congressional behavior.”
IT IS NO LONGER BEING ABIDED BY!
Senator Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) in 2009 decided that this principle should be embedded in Obamacare! He inserted a provision requiring all members of Congress and their staffs to get insurance through the Obamacare health exchanges. Grassley felt and commented that “The more that Congress experiences the laws it passes, the better.”
Everyone interpreted this to mean that the taxpayer-funded federal health-insurance subsidies distributed to those on Congress’s payroll — which now range from $5,000 to $11,000 a year — would have to end.
Democratic and Republican staffers alike were manic, warning that Congress faced a “brain drain” if the provision stuck.
Behind closed doors and away from light, pressure from members of both sides of Congress got Obama to personally order the Office of Personnel Management, (OPM supervises federal employment issues) to interpret the law to preserve the generous Congressional benefits.
This is outrageous!
Senator Vitter reported that that change in interpretation by the OPM ruling has removed “the sting of Obamacare” from Congress. “Many Americans will see their health coverage dropped by employers, and they will be forced into the exchanges. “If Congress is forced into them on the same terms, it will be more likely to fix Obamacare’s problems for others.”
NO subsidies for Congress. No exemptions for the elites or UNIONS who pushed it and now hate it!
Obama always punishes HIS enemies! Politico reported that several Democratic senators have asked staff to draft legislation that would deny federal health subsidies to anyone who votes for the Vitter plan, even if Vitter’s plan doesn’t become law!!
And even more malicious, the Democrats drafted another bill that would bar any subsidies to any lawmaker or aide found by a congressional ethics committee to have “engaged in the solicitation of prostitution.”
In 2007, Vitter’s phone number was found in the records of the “D.C. Madam,” the owner of a high-end prostitution ring. Back then, Vitter held a news conference with his wife and apologized for a “serious sin” that he refused to discuss anymore. In 2010, he was re-elected with 57 percent of the vote.
In a statement to Politico, Vitter said, “Harry Reid is acting like an old-time Vegas mafia thug, and a desperate one at that.” Vitter has reportedly followed-up with a letter to the Senate Ethics Committee demanding an investigation of Harry Reid and Senator Barbara Boxer of California. “Threatening to take away their colleagues’ health care coverage subsidy if they do not vote a certain way, at worst constitutes bribery and a quid pro quo arrangement, and at best amounts to improper conduct.” Senator Reid’s office responded by calling Vitter’s charges “absurd and baseless.”
I warned you dear Conservative. This is going to be hard and it’s going to be ugly.
We must stand together.
THEY MUST GO INTO THE EXCHANGES LIKE THEY’VE FORCED US without subsidies! THAT IS THE WAY THE LAW WAS WRITTEN.
Tell them this is about fairness for the American people.
Tell Congress they must continue to fight to delay, repeal, replace!
The president and Sec. of Health and Human Services, Sebelius have been repeating that Apple had glitches in their phones and yet, “No one is calling on Apple to stop selling devices for a year or to get out of the business.”
Ms. Sebelius, Mr. President, THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT IS NOT A FOR PROFIT COMPANY; IT SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO FORCE US TO BUY ANYTHING.
Stand now and fax Congress to voice your concerns.
By the way, the president was bragging about the number of people going online to learn more.
