Nebraska Governor signs approval of Oil Pipeline!
Last Tuesday, White House spokesman Jay Carney told the press that the State Department was reviewing the project and he did not want to “get ahead of the process.” Get ahead of the process?
TENS OF THOUSANDS OF JOBS ARE STILL ON HOLD!
ONE MILLION BARRELS OF OIL ARE ON HOLD!
The President indicated last year that the pipeline was on hold pending a review from the state of Nebraska. So why is there still a “pending review?”
Last Wednesday, 53 United States Senators (44 Republicans and 9 Democrats) sent a letter to President Obama asking that he sign off on the 1,700-mile XL Pipeline. Yes, over one-half of United states Senators are backing this pipeline. There is NO reason for the White House to continue to stall!
We must capture the moment and blast our Senators with faxes to “put the final nail in the coffin of the administration’s stall!” That’s where you come in! Please fax today!
House Speaker John Boehner reacted: “Nebraska’s approval of a new Keystone XL pipeline route means there is no bureaucratic excuse, hurdle, or catch President Obama can use to delay this project any further. He and he alone stand in the way of tens of thousands of new jobs and energy security. Every state along the proposed route supports this project, as does a bipartisan coalition in Congress and a majority of Americans. I recognize all the political pressure the president faces, but with our energy security at stake and many jobs in limbo, he should find a way to say yes.”
Reuters reports: “The Obama administration has delayed a decision on TransCanada Corp’s rerouted Keystone XL oil pipeline until after March, even though Nebraska’s governor approved a plan for part of the line running through his state. It was the latest delay on the pipeline, which has been pending for more than four years.”
Even the liberal Washington Post is even in favor of the pipeline: “President Obama rejected the Keystone XL oil pipeline this time last year, a result that Canada had every reason to be dismayed by, as did Americans whom the project would have employed. The issue is coming back, and the president has even less reason to nix the project than he did last time.”
Even the president’s own Jobs Council has come out in favor of the project, as well as a majority of Americans.
But we need to push our United States Senators “over the edge” to force the president to approve this historic job-maker and oil-maker!
There must be no more “environmental delays!!” Environmental groups have long opposed the pipeline because of the pipeline’s high “carbon footprint.” These liberal groups are “fearful of a possible oil spill!”
Our nation’s most “anti-business, anti-oil” president is waiting for the supposed “final review.” To us, in this particular case, a “final review” actually means a “pipeline and jobs stall!”
There is bipartisan support!
“Back home, we call this a ‘no-brainer’,” said Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV)
Senator Max Bachus (D-MT) stated: “No more excuses. It’s time to put people to work!”
We need your faxes today to put tens of thousands of workers back to work NOW! Please assist us in this effort to force the president’s hand on this, so the environmentalists know that President Obama is no longer “in their pockets!”
