Common Core is federal education. It is a nationalized education program that 45 states adopted, basically sight-unseen, while they were desperate to grab hold of Obama’s “Race to the Top” dollars.

Liberals and conservatives alike are critical of Common Core, which offers zero innovation, lower educational standards and is a completely untested theoretical program on our children.

Democrats have been gung-ho to implement a centralized curriculum ever since the Clintons were in office.

The Eagle Forum online explains,  “On Sept. 25, 1998, Rep. Bob Schaffer placed in the Congressional Record an 18-page letter that has become famous as Marc Tucker's "Dear Hillary" letter. It lays out the master plan of the Clinton Administration to take over the entire U.S. educational system so that it can serve national economic planning of the workforce.”

The letter was written on Nov. 11, 1992 by Marc Tucker, president of the National Center on Education and the Economy (NCEE), and lays out a plan "to remold the entire American system" into "a seamless web that literally extends from cradle to grave and is the same system for everyone," coordinated by "a system of labor market boards at the local, state and federal levels" where curriculum and "job matching" will be handled by counselors "accessing the integrated computer-based program."

The site goes on to explain that, “Tucker's plan would change the mission of the schools from teaching children academic basics and knowledge to training them to serve the global economy in jobs selected by workforce boards.”

IS THIS WHAT IS BEST FOR OUR KIDS? FOR OUR COUNTRY?

Fax Congress: STOP COMMON CORE IN OUR AMERICAN EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM!

Jason Zimba, one of the chief drafters of the Common Core standards, admitted in 2010, in a public meeting of the Massachusetts State Board of Education, that Common Core is designed to prepare students only for a non-selective community college, not a university. 

Michelle Malkin warns that, “Hidden in Common Core is the real objective – presenting the minimal amount of material that high-school graduates need to be able to enter the work force in an entry-level job, or to enroll in a community college with a reasonable expectation of avoiding a remedial math course.”

Common Core wants every child in America in every single state, from every single socioeconomic background, AND within every single family structure and every single classroom to learn the exact same things in the exact same way.

Isn’t this deeply troubling?                                    

These “standards” are theoretical and engaged very few actual classroom teachers—meaning the academic levels are very low and have already been criticized as putting our kids’ years behind other developed countries in learning.

But more disturbing is the philosophy within the Common Core methodology, which sounds an awful lot like what the United Nations and their sustainability program known as Agenda 21 is trying to implement:

Common Core teaches within its lessons the fact that wealth is a bad thing, the earth is being killed by humans and the United States is a terrible nation.

Common Core approved Scientology videos explain that everyone has a right to social security, a job, and a house, as well as joining a union. Eight weeks are dedicated to the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

It doesn’t matter if your kids do not attend a public school, or if they are homeschooled. The “Dear Hillary” letter explained that ALL children must be matched to their government jobs by counselors accessing the “computer-based program.”

That program is a database called inBloom which is being designed to store everything imaginable about your student, including: name, age, family structure, blood type, family income, household statistics, political beliefs, hair color, weight, medical history and even bus stop times!

Emmett McGroarty and Jane Robbins ask in the New York Post, “Would it bother you to know that the federal Centers for Disease Control had been shown your daughter’s health records to see how she responded to an STD/teen-pregnancy-prevention program? How about if the federal Department of Education and Department of Labor scrutinized your son’s academic performance to see if he should be “encouraged” to leave high school early to learn a trade? Would you think the government was intruding on your territory as a parent? Unless Congress steps in and reclaims its authority, student privacy and parental control over education will be relics of the past.”

Step In – FAX CONGRESS and STOP FEDERAL EDUCATION TAKE-OVER!

All students eventually will be included in the state longitudinal databases, and National standardized tests are being rewritten to align to Common Core, college admissions standards will draw from Common Core expectation and eventually every student in America, no matter where they go to school, will be a part of the inBloom database.

Data keeping on children was illegal, until the Department of Education rewrote the rules to allow inBloom to exist.

Do we want the government to control our ideas?

Whatever your political persuasion, you should be very concerned about the government stepping in to develop a national curriculum for our children. Maybe today you agree with the administration’s policies; what happens if someone is in office that you don’t agree with?

The curriculum was developed behind closed doors, with very little input from teachers. In fact, the very people peddling new textbooks and Common Core standardized tests are—you guessed it—the same people who holed up in a room and came up with the program in the first place.

It is the same game we are playing with the climate change issue—the very same people peddling the problem are the ones profiting from it.

Teachers won’t have any room in the classroom to do what they need to do to prepare students for the future; and, if Obama has his way, they won’t need to. Your child will be entered into a government program called Kindergarten and then carefully molded until about age 20, when he or she is called into service for the State.

Lessons we have seen from across America teach five and six year olds the importance of community organizing and teach them how to best prepare their message to get others to buy into it.

Obama’s name is mentioned in a section on “heroes,” along with socialist Cesar Chavez.

A fourth grader brought home an assignment that used the words “pimp” and “mobstaz.”

America, Common Core is a serious problem.

Parents who have asked about it or raised holy heck with school boards have been arrested, called crazy, or silenced because no one wants the truth to come out.

Please help us STOP progressive bureaucrats from creating a weak academic program with “United Nations Control” built into the lessons.

Fax Congress right this very minute and put an end to it!
