One of the worst parts of John Boehner’s tenure as Speaker of the House was that he would routinely side with Democrats over Conservatives in order to get budget bills passed.

Instead of pushing through conservative policy issues, Boehner would team up with liberal Democrats to pass budgets without support from most Republicans. The result was that even though Republicans held a majority in the House, most Republicans would end up voting against Boehner’s budget bills.

When Paul Ryan took over as Speaker, he promised not to follow in Boehner’s footsteps and that he would make sure Republican budgets reflected Conservative policy goals.

Yesterday, Paul Ryan broke that promise. He made a budget deal with Democrats, one that defunds President Trump’s border wall and completely funds Planned Parenthood and Sanctuary Cities. He also leaves in place funding for a number of Obama policies, including his amnesty programs and Obamacare.

Enough is enough. For the first time in more than a decade, Republicans control the House, Senate, and the Presidency. And yet, we keep getting the same liberal agenda pushed down our throats.

It is time for a change.

Mitch McConnell was able to get Judge Neil Gorsuch onto the Supreme Court. Donald Trump was able to sign about 30 executive orders to reverse Obama-era regulations and programs.

What has Paul Ryan done? Seriously, what has he done?

If you can name one thing that the House of Representatives accomplished because of Paul Ryan, I would love to hear it.

I do know that since the start of the year, Paul Ryan and the GOP leadership have taken more than 1/3 of all weekdays off.

When Paul Ryan decided to actually work, he failed miserably. He broke his promise to repeal Obamacare. Instead, this budget will completely fund Obamacare.

He broke his promise to defund Planned Parenthood. Instead, the abortion provider will continue to get hundreds of millions of dollars in Federal funding.

He broke his crack down on illegal alien criminals. Instead, sanctuary cities will continue to get funding and the wall has been completely defunded.

When will it be enough? How long do we have to wait before we all honestly admit that Paul Ryan is not cut out for the job?

Surely, 100 days is long enough…

I hade hoped that Paul Ryan would prove us all wrong. I had hoped that he would recognize what the American people wanted and push through the President’s agenda items.

Unfortunately, Speaker Ryan was completely predictable. In October, Ryan was secretly recorded on a conference call promising that he would resist and oppose President Trump at every turn. He promised his colleagues in the House that he would never support Trump or his policies, “not now, not in the future.”

So no, it is not a surprise that Ryan has put President Trump’s agenda on the back burner.

The only thing that is surprising is why more Conservatives are not calling for Paul Ryan to be replaced…

Congress floundered for 100 days, which is long enough. We refuse to just sit by and watch Paul Ryan and Co. waste this opportunity to Make America Great Again.
