The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act would force states to treat concealed carry permits the same way they treat out-of-state driver's licenses. If you are allowed to carry in one state, you are allowed to carry in all states.
Like clock work, as soon as we reached this milestone, Democrats started scrambling. We had leftist Senators calling for new assault weapon bans and even Rep Kathleen Rice declaring that American gun owners - specifically NRA members - represent a national security threat.
They're scared. You have them running scared. But now is not the time to rest easy. Now is the time to bury them.
Here at Conservative Daily, we support Constitutional Carry. The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution should be the only "permit" a law abiding American needs to defend themself in public. Eventually, we will get there. More and more states are going permitless every year. This bill moves us towards that.
It would also shut down liberal anti-gun states like New Jersey and California. Right now, 25 percent of all Americans live in a state that outright prohibits them from carrying firearms in public for self-defense.
This bill would completely pre-empt these state-level gun control laws. If you live in New Jersey or New York, you would be allowed to apply for a non-resident carry permit from Utah or Florida and then use that to carry in your home state. This legislation would be game over for the left's gun control agenda at the state level.
That is why liberals are terrified. For years, they have been allowed to treat the 2nd Amendment like a 2nd class civil right. No longer.
The only way we take this country back is if we take our civil rights back. Period.
President Trump is demanding that Congress start passing his agenda. That includes nationwide carry reciprocity!
