The corrupt Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms (ATF) has just been given authority by Obama’s similarly corrupt Justice Department to SEIZE your firearms, if they so choose, without due process!This administration is systematically disarming American citizens and killing our Constitutional rights. This latest news comes from The Washington Times reporting the ATF has the ability to “seize and administratively forfeit property involved in controlled-substance abuse” cases:
“It’s a dangerous extension of the civil-forfeiture doctrine, a surreal legal fiction in which the seized property—not a person—is put on trial. This allows prosecutors to dispense with pesky constitutional rights, which conveniently don’t apply to inanimate objects. The owner is effectively guilty until proved innocent and has the burden of proving otherwise. Anyone falsely accused will never see his property again unless he succeeds in an expensive uphill legal battle.”
You don’t have to be a drug abuser, or even under investigation, for the feds to seize your firearms. If you unknowingly associate with someone who is under investigation, if you live in the same household with someone who is, or if you do business with someone who is being targeted, your property—in this case, your firearms—can be immediately seized and it will be up to you to prove your innocence and get your guns back.

Obama’s ATF is hell-bent on disarming the American people and this is one more way in which the government is gaining control over its citizens.
And he’s using Eric Holder and the Justice Department to do it. In fact, back in 1995 Eric Holder gave a speech in which he said he wanted to, “brainwash people into thinking about guns in a vastly different way.”
Of course Holder couldn’t have known then that in a little over a decade, he’d be teamed up with an anti-gun administration and put in a position of power in which to carry out his agenda.
In the wake of several shootings across America, the anti-gun lobby has begun to lean heavily on Obama to limit our Second Amendment rights—and he is listening. His press secretary, Jay Carney, said Obama “does support renewing the assault weapons ban.” And, just how does Obama plan to accomplish this?
Carney explained the DOJ will “enhance security by making it harder for those who should not have these weapons to obtain them.”
Obama’s public speeches have been wishy-washy when it comes to protecting the Second Amendment, because he’s playing the Clinton card and trying to appease everyone. We all know his true feelings on gun ownership, however. He’s let it slip in many speeches that he believes the Second Amendment is all about hunting and target practice. He refuses to acknowledge that our Founding Fathers gave us the right to bear arms in order to protect ourselves from dangerous people, AND THE GOVERNMENT.
That very government we need protection from is creeping up slowly and picking away at our rights. If you think extending the civil-forfeiture doctrine is a bold move by Obama, you just wait and see what happens if he is elected to a second term. There will be no stopping him. He and his DOJ buddy, Eric Holder, will wipe out the Second Amendment altogether, in whatever way they have to.
To be clear: under this new regulation you don’t have to be charged with a crime. You don’t have to be arrested. You don’t even have to be guilty of anything. Under Obama’s new decree, if the ATF says they are going to confiscate your firearms, they can. And they will.
