However, let it be known that they are utterly unconcerned with abiding by the laws of civil society. Regardless of any legislation or bans imposed, they will always find a way to sow chaos and destruction.

Do not be deceived into thinking that unconstitutional laws restricting firearms or self-defense will yield less violence. Instead, they will only render innocent, law-abiding citizens more vulnerable to and defenseless during attacks. By disarming the law-abiding, criminals revel in the knowledge that they possess the advantage and can assume control.

Look no further than nations like the United Kingdom and France, where firearms have been confiscated, yet violent and deadly assaults persist using a variety of weapons, including knives, hatchets, axes, and even rocks. These heart-wrenching attacks claim the lives of innocent victims, including young children. No amount of legislation can alter the perverse nature of these depraved individuals who represent a fraction of society at large.

Let us not forget the true purpose of the Second Amendment. It extends far beyond personal protection from individuals seeking to cause harm. Its primary objective is to ensure that the government does not amass excessive power, thus safeguarding the rights to life, liberty, and property. We must maintain a healthy and harmonious balance between the individual and the government, with a resolute understanding that the power resides with the people. The government, its entities, agencies, and agents exist to assist and protect, fostering an environment conducive to temporal peace and economic prosperity.

Throughout history, every nation that has embraced disarmament has inevitably succumbed to the perils of totalitarian rule or coerced obedience to those in power. Consider the disarming of the Scotts during the reign of King Edward Longshanks or the chilling reigns of figures like Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and Polpot. They disarmed their citizens and unleashed murderous campaigns against their own people, eventually commanding god-like reverence for their despotic rule. Contemporary examples, such as the oppressive regime in North Korea, further exemplify the grim consequences of disarmament. Even in recent times, during the COVID-19 pandemic, we witnessed disturbing echoes of past crimes against humanity. People were forcibly subjected to medical experimentation and coerced into prolonged isolation in quarantine camps, a flagrant violation of international ethics laid down within the Nuremberg Code. These abhorrent actions mirror the horrors of the past that led to abject misery. It is for these reasons that the Second Amendment was encoded into our sacred founding document, the Constitution of the United States, which you, as a member of Congress, are bound to uphold. Without the Second Amendment, agents of the government could exert unchecked power
