Earlier this year, Joe Biden ordered the ATF to rescind its almost-decade-old guidance allowing for Americans to buy and own arm braces for their pistols.

These arm or stabilizing braces were invented to help disabled veterans learn how to shoot heavy pistols one-handed again. They work by allowing a shooter to strap a pistol to his or her arm, or by resting the brace against their arm to both manage the weight and control the recoil.

Time and time again, the ATF has publicly declared that these devices are legal to own. Every arm brace that gets purchased comes with a letter from the ATF's Firearms Technology Branch explaining that the device is legal.

Millions of Americans have used this guidance to purchase these arm braces. Now, the Biden administration prepares to turn them into felons in just a few short weeks.

The ATF released their "factoring criteria" (86 FR 30826) detailing how ATF agents will decide whether an arm brace is legal or illegal. The criteria are arbitrary and capricious, allowing the ATF to arrest Americans for new "violations" that government bureaucrats have only just now invented.

Once this regulation goes into effect, Americans who own pistols with these braces will face felony charges unless they (1) pay 200 bucks to register them with the government, (2) permanently modify their firearms to remove the brace, (3) destroy the firearms, or (4) surrender them with the government. Based on what the ATF has done previously, they will likely seize arm brace manufacturers' customer records.

This is a test run. The Biden ATF knows that if they get away with disarming pistol owners by arbitrarily banning these arm braces, they will be able to keep going and ban other guns.

This is no way to live. Legal gun owners are among the most law-abiding members of our society but it is impossible to obey the law if laws and regulations can be arbitrarily and capriciously changed like this.

Already, many of your colleagues are uniting to stand up to the ATF. Yesterday, 48 GOP Senators sent the ATF a letter demanding that this new regulation be rescinded. Joe Biden, however, is applauding the upcoming gun ban. He is giddy with excitement over the prospect of turning law-abiding Americans into felons.

Sending the ATF a sternly worded letter isn't enough. You need to block this regulation from going into effect!

I need you to understand that this is not something you can just ignore. This is not one of those situations where you can sign onto a letter and then sit back and allow the regulation to go into effect. Failure is unacceptable.

I don't care what it takes, you MUST stop the Biden administration from banning these handguns and turning millions of Americans into felons overnight.

Any Congressman or Senator who helps Biden implement this gun ban or sits back and allows it to go into effect will be removed from office!
