I am writing to express my profound outrage at the underhanded attempts to introduce Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) into our nation's financial system. The disturbingly muted response to this issue is infuriating, as CBDCs are blatantly perceived as a tool for the government to amass power and facilitate the establishment of a surveillance state. The definition of "Central bank money" encompasses physical currency issued by the Federal Reserve and digital balances held by commercial banks at the Federal Reserve. While purported benefits of CBDCs include countering financial shocks and stabilizing aggregate demand and inflation, the very real and disturbing possibility of governmental control looms large. Consider for a moment the potential havoc wrought by a targeted hacking attack on an economy entirely reliant on digital currency or the dystopian nightmare of every transaction being surveilled and the digital currency weaponized against the citizens it should serve.

In some states, such as South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Utah, lawmakers have demonstrated the foresight to introduce anti-CBDC bills that would prevent the use of CBDC tokens. It is high time that the rest of our elected officials display a similar backbone and take bold steps to safeguard the privacy and financial security of the American people.

I urge you, in the strongest terms possible, to vehemently oppose the use of CBDCs and actively support and champion legislation that unequivocally protects our democratic values. Specifically, I call on you to back the Central Bank Digital Currency Anti-Surveillance State Act introduced by House Majority Whip Tom Emmer. This legislation is a critical step towards preventing the insidious use of "intermediated CBDCs," a strategy eerily reminiscent of tactics employed by regimes with little regard for individual freedoms.

The people of the United States will not tolerate the implementation of CBDCs, which are not a solution to inflation but a dangerous instrument that could lead to the collapse of our nation and the establishment of a surveillance state. We demand more than token gestures; we demand action. Congress must rise to the occasion, put a resolute stop to the Surveillance State, and fiercely protect the American way of life.

I expect nothing less than an immediate and forceful response to this urgent matter. The eyes of the American people are on you, and we demand accountability.
