As Congress graces us with its return from recess, I call on you to acknowledge the solemn anniversary of January 6th, to reflect on the lives locked in prison, families torn apart, and rights callously trampled upon. The urgency of this matter demands your immediate and unwavering attention.

The release of footage from January 6th by Speaker Johnson has failed to provide even a shred of evidence supporting an insurrection. Over the past three years, the government, utilizing agencies such as the FBI and other law enforcement, has relentlessly pursued and persecuted individuals on charges that are, at best, dubious and, at worst, entirely baseless.

Three years of unwarranted incarceration, with some languishing without a trial, is an unspeakable travesty. The toll exacted on these individuals has been nothing short of devastating, with constant attacks on their families, finances, and spirit. It is a disgrace that our purportedly just and free society allows such gross violations of basic human rights.

Therefore, I demand, on behalf of the outraged citizens of this nation, that Congress immediately liberate the January 6th protesters from their unjust imprisonment. Uphold the very system that boasts the principles of peaceful protest and free speech. Release the entirety of the January 6th footage, and ensure a fair and expedited trial process for all those ensnared in this egregious violation of justice.

Your constituents, including myself, expect and demand your immediate attention to this matter. The time for complacency and political posturing has long passed. It is high time for you to actively champion the cause of justice and freedom. I trust that you will fulfill your duty with the urgency and dedication that this critical situation demands.
