Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., is demanding that Congress immediately launch an investigation into the actions of Judge Tanya Chutkan from the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Gaetz has asserted that Judge Chutkan has displayed an unmistakable bias and partisan conduct while presiding over cases tied to the Jan. 6, 2021, protest at the U.S. Capitol.

 

Chutkan's flagrant bias has been evident in her handling of the January 6 protesters. She handed down harsh and excessive sentences to Jan. 6 participants that surpassed the recommendations of federal prosecutors. However, she openly threw her support behind the violent Black Lives Matter riots.

 

And now, unbelievably, she's been chosen to serve as the judge in the U.S. government's case against former President Trump. Given her track record, there's no doubt that she will carry forth her bias and injustice. 

 

This dire situation has led Matt Gaetz to forcefully demand an investigation into Chutkan's blatant bias and complete lack of impartiality. If she's incapable of fulfilling her responsibilities and upholding the law with impartiality, then she absolutely should not be allowed to preside over Trump's case. Should she do so, all proceedings are destined to be warped, unjust, and molded to fit the agendas of the Democratic Party and their associates – all working relentlessly to persecute Trump by any means necessary.

 

It is an absolute necessity that we unite in solidarity.
