Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has officially referred Dr. Anthony Fauci to the Justice Department for a potential investigation and subsequent criminal prosecution.

 

Paul's intention is to charge Fauci with perjury after he adamantly claimed that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has never provided funding for gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, neither in the past nor the present.

 

However, a series of Fauci emails and research papers emanating from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, contradict his assertions.

 

Through the correspondence between Fauci and a call with British medical researcher Jeremy Farrar, which he later recounted in emails, Fauci acknowledged the institute's engagement in gain-of-function experiments directed towards understanding how bat viruses adapt to infect humans, proving he knew that the Wuhan Institute, which was receiving funding from NIH, was performing gain-of-function research. 

 

Moreover, a research paper discussing the splicing of SARS-related coronavirus strains with another SARS-related coronavirus reveals that this manipulation led to adverse effects in primate epithelial cells and the replication of these altered viruses in human epithelial cells. This falls squarely within the definition of gain-of-function research.

 

Remarkably, this research received partial funding from the NIH.

 

Fauci's sworn testimony before Congress was a LIE, specifically perjury, as he deceived regarding the NIH's involvement in funding research at the Wuhan Institute, including the suspected gain-of-function research that might have contributed to the COVID-19 outbreak.

 

The evidence overwhelmingly highlights Fauci's lack of candor, his perjury, and as a result, it is incumbent upon us, "We the People," to take a resolute stance and express unwavering support for Senator Rand Paul. Our elected representatives need to grasp the urgency of standing by Paul as he continues his investigation and endeavors to ensure Fauci's criminal prosecution on the grounds of perjury. Any failure to do so would equate to a betrayal of our nation's ideals and a blatant violation of our justice system.
