As the House Financial Services Committee holds a hearing with John J. Ray III, the new CEO of FTX who is attempting to make sense of this scandalous heist, We the People are wondering about your exposure.
We know that FTX and Alameda Research were working closely with celebrities, business leaders, and government officials in executing this scheme. We also know that FTX was managing the Ukraine donations. We also know that FTX made significant contributions to Democrat candidates and PACs in the past midterms.
The good thing about Crypto – in fact, the major promise of decentralized digital currencies generally – is fidelity and auditability. As one member of the committee said during the hearing today, “It’s like tracking every time you chew gum.”
Therefore, unless there is a massive cover-up, we should be able to see every FTX transaction with respect to uniparty donors, candidates, and PACs.
We want the truth about your involvement individually, and we demand the truth about the impact and exposure for US tax dollars.
As another member of the committee said during this morning’s hearing, “This is really old fashioned embezzlement.”
DEMAND FOR REMEDY: There must be accountability for this massive crime, including accountability for any political party, candidate, NGO, or elected official that engaged in defrauding the American People.
