On Friday, the Biden administration unconstitutionally banned the import of Russian ammunition and firearms.

They claimed it was in retaliation for the suspected Kremlin-sponsored poisoning of a Russian politician, but there is really only one reason to ban these imports: to cut Americans off from the most affordable guns and ammunition on the market.

Millions of Americans train with Russian-imported steel-cased ammunition because it is affordable. Usually, it costs somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2 of the cost of American-made brass-cased ammo.

For millions of Americans, the only way they can afford to train and enjoy the shooting sports is by using affordable Russian ammunition. With the stroke of a pen, Biden just banned these bullets from being imported.

What ammo is left in the country is flying off the shelves. Already, the cost for these bullets has tripled and as the supply becomes artificially restricted, the price of other ammunition is skyrocketing as well.

There are entire calibers of ammunition that are now banned from being imported into the country because there are no domestically produced suppliers.

How do Americans have a right to keep and bear arms if the President can just unilaterally block entire calibers of ammunition from being imported into the country?

If the Russian government poisoned one of their domestic politicians, that is terrible. But these new sanctions have nothing to do with punishing the Russian government. This is simply a naked attempt to disarm the American people and make it harder for Americans to arm themselves or train.

In a little over three weeks, millions of Americans will be blocked from purchasing ammunition and priced out of the shooting sports.

This is blatantly unconstitutional and it must be stopped! The Biden administration is using loopholes and technicalities within the law to restrict civilian access to ammunition, in clear violation of the Second Amendment.

This unlawful activity must be stopped NOW!

I shouldn’t have to remind you what happened the last time a power-hungry dictator tried to prohibit Americans' ownership of ammunition…

You swore an oath to defend the 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. If you are unwilling or unable to defend that right now that it is under attack, then you must be removed from office!
