David Chipman is the most radical nominee ever tapped to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Joe Biden has literally nominated a gun control lobbyist to run the Federal government's gun control arm.

Chipman admitted, under oath, that his goal is to prosecute "assault weapon" owners the same way the government would go after someone who owned an unlicensed rocket launcher. He also refused to actually define what an "assault weapon" is. Gun control advocates want this to be as open-ended of a definition as possible, so they can target as many gun owners as possible. The latest definition of "assault weapon" now includes millions of pistols and shotguns too.

Chipman has advocated for a ban on 50 caliber firearms, claiming that a nationwide ban is necessary because cult members used 50 caliber rifles to shoot down two Texas Air National Guard Helicopters in 1993. The only problem? That never happened. Helicopters were not shot down using 50 caliber rifles. David Chipman literally made up a story to advocate a new gun ban.

Every gun control proposal that has been pushed over the past decade, David Chipman has had a hand in developing it. After ending his 25-year-career at the ATF, David Chipman immediately began working as a lobbyist and advisor for the nation's largest gun control organizations.

This is a man who dedicated his career to enforcing the nation's gun control laws and immediately after retiring from government service, he dedicated himself to dismantling our 2nd Amendment rights.

This nomination is unacceptable. You cannot allow Chipman to be confirmed. I don't care what it takes... I don't care how much political capital you have to spend... You MUST stop this confirmation by any means necessary.

I need you to understand that anyone who votes to confirm this radical, does anything to help advance his confirmation, or refuses to even fight against his nomination will be removed from office!

You swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, including the 2nd Amendment, against any foreign or domestic enemies. Right now, the President has nominated a clear enemy of the 2nd Amendment to run the Federal government's gun control arm. He has expressed clear disdain for American gun owners and the fundamental right of self defense. Your oath requires that you vote NO and do everything in your power to kill this nomination.
