You should be working to strengthen election integrity, not opening up the door for more fraud. The 2020 election has taught us that our election systems are far from secure and that the American people deserve to have confidence that results are legitimate.

Many of your colleagues, however, are delighted over the chaos of last year's elections. They want to take all of the last-minute election changes that states implemented in 2020 and not only make them permanent, but roll them out nationwide.

H.R. 1 would require that all 50 states strengthen their voter registration systems. By that, the bill's authors mean that states would be required to dismantle protections against fraudulent voter registration. States would be forced to adopt (1) automatic voter registration, (2) same-day voter registration, and (3) online voter registration. It is easier to register to vote than ever before. The only thing these changes would accomplish is making it easier to fraudulently register.

To protect fraudulent registrations, H.R. 1 also prohibits states from purging their voter rolls of dead, inactive, or ineligible voters. And just to make sure these "dirty" voter rolls can be used illegally, the legislation prohibits states from requiring voters show ID before being allowed to vote by mail.

It would also require that each state adopt a "contingency plan" for statewide mail-in voting in case there is ever a natural disaster or "infectious disease." If the Federal government does not believe that a state has sufficiently adopted universal mail-in voting, they can force them to adopt looser measures (the way that Democrats forced Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan to loosen their election laws).

And if that wasn't bad enough, we can now confirm that a provision has been added to the bill that ""allows for counting of ballots in an election for Federal office that are received through the mail after the date that is 10 days after the date of the election."

So, if fraudulent registrations, an end to voter ID, and universal mail-in voting aren't enough to steal an election, bad actors could simply wait to see what the margin is on election night and then spend 10 days "discovering" new ballots to close and overcome that margin.

75% of Republicans and roughly 40% of all Americans believe that this election was conducted illegitimately and that voter fraud impacted the results. They are calling on you to audit and investigate these credible allegations of fraud, not take the fraudulent systems and force all 50 states to adopt them!

The American people deserve better than this!

I am demanding that you rise up and block H.R. 1 from being passed. The American people deserve election security and integrity, not legislation designed to encourage voter fraud.

Make no mistake: any Congressman or Senator, Republican or Democrat, who votes for this bill is finished.
