Donald Trump is now the most acquitted President in American history. For the second time in as many years, Democrat Impeachment Managers watched as their unsubstantiated impeachment articles were shot down in the United States Senate.

You would think that they would learn their lesson by now. Not only did they fail to make their case, but they lack the votes to convict. You would think that they would abandon their efforts to punish Donald Trump and get back to the business of legislating.

But the Far Left is demanding blood. Immediately after the acquittal vote, they began pressuring Democrats to keep going and use the 14th Amendment to bar Trump from ever running for office again.

It is strange. Here we are, just a few months after Joe Biden is said to have collected more votes than any other Presidential candidate ever, and the Far Left's first order of business is to make sure the candidate that Biden defeated is not allowed to run again. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense...

The 14th Amendment was designed to ensure that leaders of the Confederacy were not allowed to re-enter government positions. The fact of the matter is that in the spirit of reconciliation, all involved in the Confederacy were pardoned and, after swearing an oath of loyalty to the United States, were allowed to serve in government again.

Throughout our history, whenever there has been domestic strife, we have always focused on reconciliation and bringing the country back together.

When Daniel Shays led a rebellion of 4,000 rebels in Massachusetts against oppressive taxes, his troops actually opened fire on American soldiers (killing at least three and wounding dozens). He could have been put to death for his insurrection. Instead, he and his conspirators were pardoned.

When the Whiskey Rebellion in Pennsylvania opened fire on American troops, the leaders of that insurrection could have been put to death as well. But even though George Washington led the march against this insurrection, he also pardoned them in the interest of healing the nation.

Civil War soldiers were pardoned. When the Bonus Army stormed the US Capitol in 1932, not only were they not prosecuted, but the US Government ultimately relented to their demands and paid them their bonuses.

Every time there have been sparks that threaten to drive a wedge in the country, cooler heads have prevailed and Congress has taken action to bring the county back together.

But for whatever reason, your colleagues want blood. They believe Donald Trump deserves to suffer. The Democrat Party has held the House, Senate, and White House for almost a month and the only thing they have accomplished is another failed impeachment.

Now, the far left is demanding that you waste even more time by passing a 14th Amendment resolution to make sure Trump can never run for President again.

Enough is enough. It is time to put a stop to this.

You have a chance to do just that. You have a chance to do the right thing, kill this divisive "14th Amendment" push, and actually get back to work.

But if you refuse to actually do your job... if you refused to put a stop to this endless witch hunt... I promise that when the dust settles, it will be YOU who gets removed from office!
